Co-Operative Employment Info

A hallmark of an NCCVT education is the opportunity to participate in cooperative employment starting as early as the spring or summer before a student’s senior year: the ultimate earn while you learn model! During co-op, a student works in a job related to their career area, earning real money while also earning credit toward graduation. In order to qualify, a student must meet strict academic and attendance requirements. Approximately 80% of seniors earn the opportunity to participate in co-op each year.

Thanks to our business partners, students gain valuable, relevant knowledge related to their career area, setting them up for success after graduation. The Class of 2023 earned approximately $11.5 million in their co-op experiences.
