Delcastle Student is Delaware’s High School Representative in National “Name the Rover” Challenge

Delcastle 11th grade Business Tech student Jozlyn Slivinkski is a national semifinalist in a competition to name the Mars 2020 Rover, sponsored by NASA, Future Engineers, and Battelle Education.

Jozlyn’s entry, Aspire, has been selected to represent Delaware in the high school division of the contest. Jozlyn’s essay described why Aspire would be the best-fitting name for the NASA vehicle, which is targeted for a July 2020 launch and is expected to touch down on Mars in February 2021. Her science teacher, Tim Dorsey, encouraged his student to submit entries. The winner will be announced February 18. For more information, visit: https://www.futureengineers.org/nametherover/gallery
