We are excited to help you begin your application process. Whether you are focused on a specific career area now or still exploring your options, our four schools will prepare you for a rewarding career, college, trade school, or an apprenticeship right after you graduate. Apply to Delcastle, Hodgson, Howard, and/or St. Georges and see for yourself how #NCCVTworks!

To apply to NCCVT for 9th grade: 

March 28, 2024 UPDATE:
We are no longer accepting applications for 9th grade for the 2024-2025 school year. 

The online portal for incoming 9th grade students to apply for the 2024-2025 school year opens November 6, 2023 and closes January 10, 2024. Eighth grade students who live in the Appoquinimink, Brandywine, Christina, Colonial, and Red Clay School Districts in New Castle County, regardless of what middle school they attend, are eligible to apply. 

 

Only completed applications will be considered. An application is considered complete if it includes official 7th and 8th grade report cards including attendance (not progress reports or interim report cards). 

 

If you are registering your child in a Delaware public school for the first time, please click here to complete the Delaware standard registration form. Your child must be registered in their feeder school before completing the online School Choice application.

Parents of current 8th grade students receiving Special Education services:
Students who are pursuing Delaware’s Diploma of Alternate Achievement Standards may qualify for NCCVT’s STEP Program (Specialized Transition To Employment Pathways) at Delcastle. Students in the STEP Program receive specialized instruction and hands-on career training in the Production & Imaging Career Program area. STEP may be right for your child if one or more of the following applies:

  •      Currently in a Life Skills program
  •       8th grade curriculum includes Community-based instruction
  •       Is included in the DeSSA Alternate Assessment
  •       May be working toward a Diploma of Alternate Achievement Standards

Current 9th grade students who are looking to transfer into NCCVT for 10th grade, please click below.

Please note that applications for incoming 10th grade students will not be available until April 2024 and will be for a limited number of programs only, depending on availability. Please do not use the application for 9th grade.
