Hodgson Teacher Named WJBR/DSEA Teacher of the Month

Sue Moyer, a Nursing Technology teacher at Hodgson since 2008, has been named the WJBR/DSEA Teacher of the Month for February. Her selection was announced during a surprise Zoom call on Feb. 24, which included members of the Hodgson and district staff and administration as well as representatives from Governor John Carney’s office and the DSEA.
The Hodgson and NCC Vo-Tech Teacher of the Year in 2014-15, she was nominated for Teacher of the Month by a Hodgson parent, who wrote, “Mrs. Moyer has been the most amazing and incredible teacher during such an unprecedented time, she has gone above and beyond to dedicate herself to her students….My daughter said Mrs. Moyer is the only teacher that makes virtual school feel like real school and she makes things feel normal, she truly looks forward to her class with Mrs. Moyer every day. She engages with the students for the whole class period and has really taught my daughter and the whole class so much. She is always so quickly responsive to the students and parents throughout the school day and even after school hours. Thank you for being such an amazing teacher and so dedicated to your students!”
