Dr. Clifton Hayes has been the building principal at Delcastle Technical High School for two years. For seven years Dr. Hayes served as an assistant principal and was part of the school leadership team that implemented an intensive transformation plan that resulted in dramatic improvement in student achievement as measured by reading and math scores on the Delaware Comprehensive Assessment System. In 2013, he was Delaware’s Assistant Principal of the Year. Prior to his assistant principal role, he has served as a disciplinarian and taught both elementary and high school students.
After graduating from Christiana High School, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Delaware State University (DSU) and his Masters Degree in Special Education from West Virginia University. He recently received his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from DSU.
