Summer Career Camp

The New Castle County Vo-Tech School District has announced a Summer Career Camp for 6thand 7th grade students interested in exploring either the Construction or the Information Technology industries. Students can choose either:

Build Your Future! Construction Technologies Camp

When: June 18-22, 9 a.m. To 12 noon
Where: Hosted at Delcastle Technical High School
Who: 6th and 7th Grade Students who Reside in New Castle County

Join the NCC Vo-Tech team of talented construction teachers this summer and get your hands on what it means to build your future.

Forget digging ditches – today’s construction careers are high-tech in hard hats earning high wages! Skilled construction professional earn an average of $6,000 a year more than recent college graduates. You may have heard about carpenters, plumbers, and HVAC professionals, but how about estimators, project managers, schedulers, safety managers? Many career pathways are possible in the construction industry, with positions ranging from ones that require certifications and apprenticeships, to ones that require community college courses to university degrees.

Every industry needs creative IT professionals. Whether you are a computer novice or a tech whiz, this is a great opportunity to get your hands into it. From simple programming to robotics, try your best at the different components of Information Technology.

School bus transportation provided for both camps.
